One supplier (Hans) shook me with his reply today after my sms to him highlighting something important...
A healthy looking 'old' man (well, he doesnt look his age - 70) whom turned a great friend of mine, someone who never missed meeting up with me at the office for a mere 30mins whenever he travels down to RIO from Houston.
The genuine topics that we talked about has never been about work... but on how i am coping with life in RIO, things that i do beside work, numerous questions from talkative me regarding the market or the reasons for him to be swinging by RIO.
We never started out nice!!! I could remember clearly the 1st occasion when we first met up with each other... Whoa! The conversation starts to heat up while he was talking with the co-ordinator of my dept. regarding late payment for past project.
~ Audacity to ask for a lower price (Hee.. isnt it a buyer SOP) even when we still own his company money, slamming of table, declining to accept our order because its making his company lose money by dragging the payment for more than 2 years ~
I wont know how to handle such situation if he starts yelling at me like that on our 1st meet-up. The chances of me walking off is quite high since i am not at my home grounds!!!

His motto towards life impress me as i would very much want to be like him. Bring my mum around various parts of the world, provide happiness, comfort and a better standard of living for my dearest dad, mum, sis & nephew (many more, i hope) and bro.
Looking at my current state, i am nowhere near there yet!
