Before i left for Singapore last Dec, one of the girl (Soh Ling) from Angra Yard asked if i would be interested to go visit Iguazu Falls during Christmas.
As i wont be around during the X'mas period, i told her that i could only make it after i return in January 09.
I decided to contact her after knowing that she has not been to the falls yet. She volunteer to search for the quote immediately, thinking that we (including Dennis) could get some good deals since we are still 1 month ahead our planned departure date.
The prices quoted to her were quite high, return tickets at more than BRL 2K during Samba period excluding accommodation... Damn, how could i make myself accept such rates just to travel within Brazil.
For a solid 2 weeks of checking out the prices on different website and travel agencies turns out to be all in vain. Looks like we arent gonna make it to the falls during the Canival period...
When both of us were about to give up, i came out with the last resort and that was to check with my colleagues (Angelita & Adriana) if they could recommend me any agencies that offer great deals!
Adriana told me that one of her good friend (Sabrina) is the director of a travel agency in Niteroi and she could asked her if she could offer us a good package.
Hee hee... after 3 days of exchanging email and confirming our flight and accommodation. All 3 of us are set to leave RIO on 21st Feb and return at 24 Feb...
Our packages includes;
- Rio de Janeiro (GIG) - Curitiba (CWB) - Foz do Iguazu (IGU), Return Tickets.
- Transfer to Hotel Salvatti from aeroporto on 21 Feb.
- Cataratas Brasileiras (sem ingresso) + Hidreletrica de Itaipu.
- Visita panoramica sem ingresso ou compras no Paraguai.
- Transfer out Hotel Salvatti to aeroporto on 24 Feb .
- Triple sharing room com cafe da manha.
- Total: BRL 4,730.00

Angelita's friend also owns a travel agency but her price (Tickets & Hotel) was rather low (BRL 1.1k++) thus it raise a bit of concern towards safety and as she was not around to check out more details for me, i turn down her offer.
I dont understand how her friend could quote us at a price equal to the air ticket price and include 3 days of Hotel stay... Maybe, next time i will try out her friend agency!
