Keppel Group News
Keppel Offshore & Marine (Keppel O&M), Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), Singapore Maritime Foundation (SMF) and Association of Singapore Marine Industries (ASMI) and key industry players, have teamed up and commissioned MediaCorp Studio to produce a 20-part Mandarin drama serial entitled The Highest Peak (最 高 点). It is expected to telecast in January/February of 2007.
While the drama serial seeks to entertain, the main aim is to raise awareness of the global nature of Singapore offshore, marine and maritime industry, enhancing the image of its fraternity as a sophisticated and technology-oriented contributor to the Singapore economy. Through this, we aim to encourage young and talented Singaporeans to consider building a career with offshore, marine and maritime.
Filming will take place at Keppel O&M yards from 18 August 2006 to mid November 2006. During this period, we expect the film production crew, as well as artists from Mediacorp at our yards. We have highlighted to the production crew that there should be minimal disruptions to our work.
We would like to urge all our employees to stay away from the filming areas and be natural even when the camera is turned towards your direction. Please continue with business as usual, demonstrating the typical Keppel spirit of Can Do!, Commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment, integrity and teamwork.
We look forward to your support in making this drama serial a success.
